Pet Friendly Places on Cape Cod



The Cape is the perfect place to explore with your friends and family and an even better opportunity to let your furry friends explore the gorgeous outdoors. There are several places where you can take your dog on a beautiful nature walk or to one of the local beaches, here are some of our pet friendly places to spoil your furry, four-legged friends! (This is Soda #sodaaday)



Nature Walks + Parks


Cape Cod Canal

Cape Cod Bay to Buzzards Bay, seven-mile-long canal that is mostly in Bourne with a gorgeous view of the bridge.


Long Pond Trail |Falmouth

Located in Falmouth, this 3.9 mile loop has a gorgeous view of the lake and is accessible year round. Bring your dog on a leash for some exercise and fresh air at this kid friendly nature walk. For more information on this beautiful nature walk click here.


Talbot Point's Conservation Land | East Sandwich

Take your pet to enjoy a nice walk at the 112 acres of land along the Scorton Marsh System and get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful views of the marsh that Talbot Point's Conservation Land has to offer.


Lowell Holly Reservation | Mashpee

135 acres of a Cape Cod old-growth forest is part of a Trustees Reservation that is extremely pet friendly with some minor guidelines that can be found here.

Pilgrim Bark Park | Provincetown

A one-acre, fenced-in off-leash park with an area for small dogs and an area for other dogs. Your pet must be up-to-date with vaccinations, wearing its tag, be spayed or neutered, and at least 4 months old. They have turned off the water fountains for the season so be sure to bring water for your dog and masks must be worn at all times. You can click here to learn more about what the park offers

Pleasant Bay Village Resort | Chatham

These recently renovated Deluxe Queen rooms at the Pleasant Bay Village are pet friendly and include a private deck. The village is a family friendly hotel set on 7 acres of gardens, waterfalls, a Kio pond, and a pool.


Pet Friendly Beaches for off season

All dogs are required to be on leash at all times on Cape Cods pet friendly beaches during the summertime. For the most part, dogs are allowed on most Cape beaches during the offseason. Click here for more information on specific Cape locations pet guidelines.


Sandy Neck Beach | Barnstable

Your pet is welcome to this 1,500 acre area as long as they are on a 15 foot leash.


Herring Cove Beach | Provincetown

Just miles from downtown Provincetown, Herring Cove Beach has plenty of parking, hot-dog stands, showers, and bathrooms.


Race Point Beach | Provincetown

A national seashore beach in Provincetown known for its rough waters and gorgeous scenery. Make sure to bring your pup some extra water and source of shade as the sun hits the sand directly all day due to its northern location.


Pet Friendly Restaurants

Cape Cod Coffee- 10 Evergreen Circle, Mashpee


Enjoy a night of live music, delicious food, and drinks with your family and furry friends at the new location of Cape Cod Coffee!









Cobie's Clam Shack- Brewster

A roadside Clam Shack with outdoor dining that allows dogs (pictured)













The Summer Shanty- Dennis

Located at Bass River Marina, enjoy some seafood, burgers, a drink and some live music right on the water.


Barbyann's- Hyannis

Enjoy some of Cape Cod's best sea food with American favorites and a bit of Southwestern flare with your furry friends on their outdoor patio!


Cape Cod Beer - Hyannis

They hold a "yappy hour" every other Monday for a doggie social from 4-6pm.
