Yoga of Yarmouth Port: Breathe, Relax, Connect

Whether you're staying at a quaint bed and breakfast, antiquing, or enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery that only Cape Cod has to offer, no trip down the Cape is complete without a visit to Yoga of Yarmouth Port. This serene yoga studio is nestled into a historic building that dates back to the 1700's. Walking into Yoga of Yarmouth Port is like joining a friend for tea in a cozy living room. This boutique style yoga studio is small, bright and inviting, a special space that feels like home.

The small town of Yarmouth Port can also only be described as charming and unique, seeped in rich history and quintessential New England character. Yarmouth Port is in the northern part of Yarmouth, bordered by the Cape Cod Bay and the towns of Dennis and Barnstable. Yarmouth Port was home to the original Christmas Tree Shops until its closing in 2007.

Yarmouth Port is also known for its coastal allure. Visitors can enjoy the warm waters and wildlife of Cape Cod Bay, and the soft sand and shallow pools of Chapin Beach. Take a stroll down Gray's Beach Boardwalk during golden hour to take in the breathtaking sunset and observe aquatic creatures. Another landmark not to be missed in Yarmouth Port is The Captain's Mile, a stretch of road lined with over 50 impressive homes dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Homes with a schooner plaque indicate that the building was once owned by a sea captain.

Yoga of Yarmouth Port certainly reflects the history of the town it resides in. Originally the space operated as a bed and breakfast in the 18th century, and the original wood floors and windows are still intact. The studio even sits right above a quaint antique store, a popular pastime in this area. Yoga of Yarmouth Port doesn't shy away from the nautical roots of the area, either. The yogis of this studio are known to jump on a lobster boat excursion together every so often.

The owner, Deb Mareb, a Cape local for over 30 years, opened the studio in December of 2019. Combining her background as a social worker with her passion for community, Yoga of Yarmouthport was born. Deb's list of certifications are impressive, and include a 200 hour Zen Yoga certification through Zen Wellness/Medical QiGong and a 300 hour Yoga Alliance certification from Jacqui Bonwell’s Sacred Seeds Yoga School.

Deb leads with her heart in everything she does. She makes you feel like you've known her forever. Through her life experience, she learned that the resilience and the power of the human spirit is unmeasurable and indescribable. Deb's mission for her yoga business was to create a communal space where people could come together to cultivate ease and balance in their lives. And her clients will attest that she has done just that.

Deb has hand selected her incredible, top notch and knowledgeable group of yoga teachers at Yoga of Yarmouth Port. Each dedicated teacher goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and calm atmosphere rooted in mindfulness and spirituality. The teachers guide yogis to build the best version of themselves and cultivate compassion through their practice. They specialize in allowing students to have agency over their own practice while providing gentle assists and showing appropriate modifications for poses.

Yoga of Yarmouth Port boasts consistent five star reviews from yogis across the board. Here is what just some of the clients have to say:
